Try as I might to come up with an appropriate answer for this question, I’m afraid I have to go with “If you wanna wait till later, hands off my detonator” from the song “Read my lips” by Melisa Tkautz. It sticks to me mainly because of how inappropriate it is as Melissa was a minor when she sung this lyric, which of course sparked controversy even when the song came out despite it reaching #1 on the Australian charts (or perhaps it was because of the controversy.)
As for a lyric that stuck with me for positive reasons, I’m going with “I’m just a poor boy, nobody loves me, he’s just a poor boy, from a poor family, spare him his life from this monstrosity” from Queen’s “Bohemian rhapsody.” Mainly because it comes from a man who even when he wrote it, had already proven to the world he was so much more than the miserable boy this lyrics portrays him as, which I interpret as proof that anyone can make it in life regardless of how they were brought into this world.
